How to Understand the Document
1) The number of the order is at top. 2) The passages with the bolded word such as "WHEREAS" explains the situation or logic that caused the order. 3) The numbered passages explain what action is to be taken.
About This Resource
- You can do subject searches online. The State Library's Index has records back to 1973 (Gov. Noel) and full text back to 2003.
- Executive Order are numbered by year, and number of the executive order. For example, Executive Order, August 8, 2003 03-13 "Proclamation of Utility Emergency" is the 13th executive order in the year 2003.
