| This is the main section of vocal music; all the other vocal music categories have been drawn from it over the years. It begins in 1826, at the end of the Wolfe period, and goes up to the present. There is every sort of music: art song, religious music, popular songs of every description; piano-vocal music dominates, but there is also a good amount of choral music interspersed. All editions and printing variants are retained, so there may be numerous copies of a particular title. Many have illustrated covers and photographs of performers. |
