Hemeroteca Digital – Biblioteca Nacional
Open access to periodicals ranging from the first newspapers printed in the country, such as Correio Braziliense and Gazeta do Rio de Janeiro, both founded in 1808; to newspapers that ceased publication in the twentieth century, such as the Diário Carioca and Correio da Manhã. It also provides access to newspapers no longer published in paper, such as Jornal do Brazil.
Among the oldest and most rare nineteenth-century publications are, O Espelho, Reverbero Constitucional Fluminense, O Jornal das Senhoras, O Homem de Cor, Marmota Fluminense, Semana Illustrada, A Vida Fluminense, O Mosquito, A República, Gazeta de Notícias, Revista Illustrada, O Besouro, O Abolicionista, Correio de S. Paulo, Correio do Povo, O Paiz, Diário de Notícias, and also the first provincial newspapers from the Imperial period.
From the twentieth century, can be found very important magazines like Careta, O Malho, O Gato, Revista da Semana, Klaxon, Revista Verde, Diretrizes and newspapers that shaped the history of the press in Brazil, such as A Noite, Correio Paulistano, A Manha, A Manhã and Última Hora.
Newspapers and Magazines – Arquivo Público do Estado de São Paulo
Provides access to publications by the Imprensa Oficial, such as Diário Oficial do Estado, as well as national newspapers and magazines. Contains 235,000 copies of newspapers, 30,000 copies of magazines and 16 thousand copies of serial publications (reports, newsletters, minutes).
Ultima Hora – Arquivo Público do Estado de São Paulo
Provides access to 166,000 photographs, 600,000 negatives, 2,223 illustrations and a collection of editions of Ultima Hora from Rio de Janeiro for the years 1951-1970.

Early 20th century to 2014. The formats included are pamphlets, flyers, leaflets, brochures, posters, stickers, and postcards. Created by a wide array of social activists, non-governmental organizations, government agencies, political parties, public policy think tanks, and other types of organizations in order to publicize their views, positions, agendas, policies, events, and activities. Rare primary sources unavailable elsewhere.

The Public Archives of the State of São Paulo preserves and holds numerous historical documents, photographs, maps, illustrations, newspapers, magazines and books. More than 400,000 images from scanned documents are now available through open access.

Preservação da memória da escravidão – Arquivo Público do Estado de São Paulo
Documents consists of 11 boxes and 20 bound files, and covers the years 1764 to 1890. The documents come from various administrative offices in the Province of São Paulo in the nineteenth century, such as: Ministry of Agriculture, Trade and Public Works; Palace of the Government of São Paulo Province; Presidency of the Province of São Paulo; Ministry of War; Municipalities of the Province of São Paulo; Boards for the Classification of Slaves; Parishes of the municipalities of the Province of São Paulo and the Office of General Revenue. The documentation consists of letters from the Provincial Slave Classification Boards and records of the letters sent from the Palace of the Province to the Municipal Councils, bodies responsible for carrying out the work of the Slave Classification Boards. Other relevant documents include: letters on contagious diseases coming from the slave trade and letters exchanged between the administrative institutions of the Imperial Government about emancipation.
