As she progressed, we worked together to refine the schema, and to create better sets of classifications for the characteristics she was capturing. We also provided a proofreading transform, so she could view a formatted version of her XML files.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1516\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1516\" style=\"width: 443px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dlibwwwcit.services.brown.edu\/cds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Funeraproof1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1516\" title=\"Proofreading view \" alt=\"Funeraproof1\" src=\"http:\/\/dlibwwwcit.services.brown.edu\/cds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Funeraproof1.jpg\" width=\"443\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1516\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Proofreading view<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>By the end of the summer, Mary-Evelyn had entered several hundred funerals. She add more funerals and more details over the course of this year. CDS is in the process of preparing the files for ingestion into the Brown Digital Repository, where they will become a digital corpus that will continue to grow.<\/p>\n<p>Mary-Evelyn presented a poster <a href=\"http:\/\/dlibwwwcit.services.brown.edu\/cds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/utra-poster.pdf\"> [pdf] <\/a> on her work at the Undergraduate Research Symposium at the end of the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CDS sponsored Mary-Evelyn Farrior &#8217;14 for her summer UTRA (Undergraduate Teaching and Research Award) project.
