Burr Litchfield&#8217;s <em>Florence Ducal Capital, 15301630<\/em>, published in 2008 as an ACLS Humanities EBook. The book is accompanied by a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stg.brown.edu\/projects\/florentine_gazetteer\/\">digital map of Florence<\/a> that situates its arguments geographically, and was developed in 2006 by STG. <\/p>\n<p>From the review, which considers this to be a valuable historical work on early modern Europe, also says, with reference to links from the ebook to the map: &#8220;&#8230;This and other comparable innovations capitalize quite imaginatively on the potential of the electronic format &#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Building the map was an interesting STG project &#8211; carried out primarily by Kerri Hicks and Erik Resley &#8211; and we are delighted that it is receiving positive attention.
