The advances in digital humanities, textual<br \/>\nstudies, digital libraries and postmodern literary theory do not seem<br \/>\nto have had a profound effect on the way we theorize or produce<br \/>\ndictionaries. But the time is ripe to explore and exploit  both in<br \/>\ntheoretical and practical terms   the ways in which the electronic<br \/>\ntext has changed our notion of what a dictionary is (or ought to be)<br \/>\nand what it can (or should) do.<\/p>\n<p>Toma Tasovac has degrees in Russian Literature from Harvard and<br \/>\nComparative Literature from Princeton.
