Full of officialese, these cases show how some enslaved Cubans had to deal with bureaucracy and structural racism to be granted their freedom. The Hay is processing these and more documents related to the institution of slavery in Cuba. These documents will soon be available digitally with descriptions in both Spanish and English. Escritas con un lenguaje oficial, estos casos muestran c\u00f3mo algunos cubanos esclavizados ten\u00edan que lidiar con la burocracia y el racimo estructural para recibir su libertad. La Hay est\u00e1 procesado estos y otros materiales relacionados a la instituci\u00f3n de la esclavitud en Cuba.
