Brown users must authenticate with a Brown username and password before gaining access to these licensed resources. You must\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brown.edu\/Facilities\/CIS\/activate\/\">activate your account<\/a>\u00a0to obtain a Brown username. If you have forgotten your username or password, call 863-7277 or the CIS Help Desk at 863-HELP (863-4357).<\/p>\n<p>Please direct questions about Off-Campus Access to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:eresources@brown.edu\">eresources@brown.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are two methods of off-campus access:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/vpn.brown.edu\/\">SSL VPN<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/strong>A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to connect to Brown&#8217;s network from any location. The new SSL-VPN is available via a web browser by visiting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vpn.brown.edu\/\">vpn.brown.edu<\/a>\u00a0or by downloading and installing a client from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/software.brown.edu\/\">software.brown.edu<\/a>.<br \/>\n<em> Please remember to keep the SSL-VPN window open whenever you are accessing Library electronic resources using the web browser SSL-VPN.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/revproxy.brown.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/library.brown.edu\">EZProxy<br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong>EZProxy is another method used to access Library electronic resources from off-campus. Unlike the VPN client, you don&#8217;t have to download software to authenticate as a Brown user.
