About the Symposium
The IviesPlus Access Services Symposium provides an opportunity for access services practitioners from among the larger research libraries to share experiences, insights, and best practices with each other.
Date: June 6-7, 2013
Hosted by: Brown University Library
Each Year the Objectives of the Symposium are to:
- Exchange information about what our institutions are currently doing or planning for the near term
- Explore challenges and opportunities facing Access Services
- Discuss solutions that may be applicable to other institutions
2013 Symposium Theme:
How do we remain relevant when library-as-place is the new norm? How should front line services evolve as we alter library spaces to accommodate activities not directly related to traditional access services or content resources? How do we customize our services for patrons who may be coming into the library with little intention of checking out books, using reserves? Can we?
Registration Deadline:
The deadline to register for the Symposium was May 3, 2013.
