Orwig materials will continue to be available by request.<\/li><li>The caf\u00e9s in the Rock and SciLi will be closed until further notice. You may bring a personal water bottle. We ask that no food is brought into the libraries unless medically necessary.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When will the Library be open?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Library spaces opened to <strong>graduate and medical<\/strong> students on <strong>Wednesday, September 16<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Undergraduates<\/strong> are welcome in Library spaces as of <strong>Monday, October 5<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/libweb\/hours.php\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/libweb\/hours.php\" target=\"_blank\">Hours<\/a> <\/strong>vary by library <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I reserve a seat?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To enter a library, students are asked to first <a href=\"#reservations\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#reservations\">make a reservation<\/a> for a seat using <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/libcal.brown.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">LibCal<\/a>. Reservations can be made for two hour time slots with a half hour in between for self <a href=\"#cleanin-cleanout\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#cleanin-cleanout\">\u201cClean in \/ Clean out\u201d<\/a> with provided sanitizing wipes. <a href=\"#libcal-tutorial\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#libcal-tutorial\">Watch the LibCal video tutorial below<\/a>.<\/li><li>Reservations can be made up to one week in advance.<\/li><li>Graduate and medical students may reserve <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.brown.edu\/libnews\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=11744&amp;action=edit#carrels\">carrels<\/a> on a monthly basis. Seat reservations are for two-hour blocks of time with a half hour in between. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrel reservations will be made on a monthly basis, using alternate sides of each carrel on different days of the week to ensure safe distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you place a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. When you go to the library for your confirmed time, please bring a printout of the confirmation or be able to show it on an electronic device. Queue up outside, maintaining six feet of space with others in line. A security staff member will check your reservation confirmation before you will be allowed to enter the building.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask that patrons bring only a personal water bottle into Library buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"carrels\">graduate and medical student Carrels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduate and medical students can make a reservation for a carrel using the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScqmO_Z1fMB2JIvCRpqsfuKMUP8LwFzqQV9SSKWKOhImX5rug\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\">Library Carrel Request for Graduate Students form<\/a>. Reservations are for one month at a time. Carrel use will be on an alternating schedule to ensure safe distancing between carrels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cleanin-cleanout\">Clean In \/ Clean Out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask that all patrons clean your designated area when you arrive and before you leave, using provided disinfectant wipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"faculty-staff\">Faculty, visiting scholar, and staff use of library space<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask that faculty and staff allow <strong>students only<\/strong> to reserve seating and carrels in the libraries. We will continue to provide digital delivery and distant circulation of materials for faculty and visiting scholars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty members with individual <strong>Faculty Studies <\/strong>will receive a Faculty Study Card via email. Please print the card, queue at the Rock, show the guard the card, and proceed to your study. You will need to bring the printout of this card with you each time you go to the Rock to access your study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tas\">Graduate Teaching Assistant rooms<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduate TA\u2019s may also access a limited number of small study\/collaboration rooms to conduct your online sections. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/it.brown.edu\/services\/type\/25live-space-scheduling\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/it.brown.edu\/services\/type\/25live-space-scheduling\" target=\"_blank\">Registration is required through 25Live<\/a>.&nbsp;Please follow all safety protocols including Clean in \/ Clean out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"classes\">Classes in Library Spaces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time, the only classes scheduled to be held in Library spaces will be on floors of the Sciences Library that are managed by other campus units.
