Reservations are required for the Special Collections Reading Room at the John Hay Library (email <a href=\"mailto:hay@brown.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hay@brown.edu<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Alumni and Other Visitors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/libweb\/visitors.php\"><strong>COMPLETE INFORMATION FOR ALL VISITORS<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OBTAINING A LIBRARY CARD<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors who anticipate using the Rockefeller, Sciences, or Orwig Libraries on an ongoing basis must obtain a Brown University Library card. Cards will be issued upon receipt and approval of a completed <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeU1IpgW-Q3SXQFxYikiZYhIGHV7zB77oyqAy22q9hI_jQrYA\/viewform\">Brown University Library Visitors<\/a> request form. The Library must approve requests for all visitors except those with IDs sponsored by a department or program at Brown, or Brown alumni. <a href=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/libweb\/visitors.php\">More information<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors must abide by the policies on the <a href=\"https:\/\/healthy.brown.edu\/\">Healthy Brown<\/a> website and should review the <a href=\"https:\/\/healthy.brown.edu\/visitors-guests\">Visitor and Guest Vaccination Requirement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Library Support<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>In-person<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patrons can schedule in-person and online consultation appointments with a Library expert by contacting the relevant <a href=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/about\/specialists.php?sort=selector\">subject specialist<\/a> directly. Thank you for wearing your mask, which helps the Library keep the stacks open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Online<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please continue to request materials online through <a href=\"https:\/\/bruknow.library.brown.edu\/discovery\/search?vid=01BU_INST:BROWN&amp;lang=en\">BruKnow<\/a>. Requested materials will be held at the service desks. Patrons will be notified when the item is available and where it should be picked up.
