As a result of this facilities work, there will be changes to the Hay\u2019s hours and access.&nbsp;Please refer to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/hay\/\" target=\"_blank\">John Hay Library website<\/a> for any changes to our hours and our holiday schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building-wide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 31 &#8211; September 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Hay will be open Monday &#8211; Friday, 9 a.m. &#8211; 5 p.m. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only the first floor will be open to patrons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 1 \u2013 September 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The front doors will be inaccessible (emergency exit only).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patrons will need to use the north side, accessible entrance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gildor Family Special Collections Reading Room<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 29 &#8211; June 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special collections reading room will be closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 5 &#8211; August 18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special collections reading room will be open on this schedule by reservation only.&nbsp;Please see&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/libguides.brown.edu\/visitingspecialcollections\" target=\"_blank\">Visiting the Brown University Special Collections<\/a>&nbsp;for information&nbsp;about scheduling a reading room appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 1 &#8211; 5 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. &#8211; 5 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 21 \u2013 September 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special collections reading room will be closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Student Lounge<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 31 &#8211; September 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student lounge will be closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Willis Reading Room<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Willis Reading Room will remain open Monday &#8211; Friday from 9 a.m. &#8211; 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bopp, Bruhn, Lownes<\/strong> Rooms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bopp Room (3rd floor), Lownes Room (2nd floor), and Bruhn Room (2nd floor) will be <strong>unavailable from May 29 &#8211; September 5<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Classroom Requests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please place requests for classes through the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/brown.libwizard.com\/id\/048ef2839dfd315bfe7ab8c1135ed501\" target=\"_blank\">Brown University Library Instruction Request Form<\/a>.&nbsp; Some class sessions may be held in the Special Collections Reading Room, depending on the room schedule, size of the class, and staff availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Third Floor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third floor of the John Hay Library will be <strong>closed from May 29 &#8211; September 5<\/strong>, including the Anne S. K.
