David joins us from Loyola University Chicago where he was the Monographs Acquisitions&nbsp;Coordinator and the subject specialist&nbsp;for Fine Arts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the new Director of Resource Acquisitions,&nbsp;David will oversee the operations and processes for the Scholarly Resources areas of ordering, receiving, invoicing, licensing and e-resources assessment, and the documentation of workflows from order placements to material receipt. He will also oversee the processing of invoices for payment through the University\u2019s finance system, and he will resolve high level problems related to payment or vendor records and coordinate the Scholarly Resources processing of incoming gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David&#8217;s first day will be May 22, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of David&nbsp;Givens&nbsp;as the new Director of Resource Acquisitions.
