If you currently have saved searches, folders, or articles in your EBSCOhost account, some, but not all, of this content will migrate automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essential Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>August 4, 2025<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saved searches, search alerts, and persistent links to searches can be preserved manually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Articles in custom folders may be exported in RIS format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>December 31, 2025<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any data that remained in the classic EBSCOhost UI can be downloaded in the new UI in Excel format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saved search data may be incomplete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Your EBSCOhost Account<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your EBSCOhost account contains several types of saved content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Folder<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the default location to which articles typically save. Items in the <strong>Articles<\/strong> subfolder of My Folder will automatically migrate to the new UI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-articles-1024x320.png\" alt=\"EBSCOhost account folder with Articles highlighted to indicate that these will be migrated automatically.\" class=\"wp-image-16573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-articles-1024x320.png 1024w, https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-articles-300x94.png 300w, https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-articles.png 1646w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No action is necessary if you <\/strong><strong><em>only <\/em><\/strong><strong>use the Articles subfolder under My Folder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My Folder also has other subfolders such as Saved Searches, Persistent Links to Searches, and an area called My Custom under which you can create Custom Folders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You must take action if you use these subfolders or have content in My Custom (Custom Folders).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Saved Searches<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Searches in the <strong>Saved Searches<\/strong> folder in your EBSCOhost account will automatically be migrated when you access the new UI. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"221\" height=\"167\" src=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-saved-stuff.png\" alt=\"EBSCOhost account folder showing Saved Searches highlighted\" class=\"wp-image-16574\" style=\"width:196px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>However, there are several limitations to this automatic migration. <strong>If you use Saved Searches, we strongly encourage you to look at the detailed instructions and full list of limitations outlined here:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.ebsco.com\/s\/article\/How-can-I-access-my-classic-user-interfaces-MyEBSCO-data-from-EBSCOs-new-user-interfaces?language=en_US\">How can I access my classic user interfaces MyEBSCO data from EBSCO&#8217;s new user interfaces?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Persistent Links to Searches and Saved Alerts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Content in these folders will <em>not <\/em>be migrated to the new UI. <strong>Until August 4, 2025, you can access and preserve persistent links to searches and search alerts using the classic UI.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My Custom (Custom Folders)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Articles and searches saved to <strong>Custom Folders <\/strong>will <em>not<\/em> migrate.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"307\" height=\"220\" src=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-my-custom.png\" alt=\"My Custom section of EBSCOhost account\" class=\"wp-image-16577\" style=\"width:248px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-my-custom.png 307w, https:\/\/library.brown.edu\/create\/libnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2025\/07\/ebsco-my-custom-300x215.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Until August 4, 2025<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can access and preserve the information about searches in Custom Folders using the classic UI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can export references in each Custom Folder as RIS files to import into a citation management tool such as Zotero or EndNote.
