Before federal labeling laws passed in 1906 and 1912, manufacturers could conceal ingredients and make untested health claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Assembled by former Brown University Medical Dean Dr. David S. Greer, this collection features over 200 mid-1800s to early 1900s medicine bottles\u2014most molded with product names\u2014alongside historical sales artifacts.
