Did Francis Wayland&#8217;s mid-19th century reforms foreshadow the New Curriculum of 1969? For\u00a0250 years, Brown&#8217;s undergraduate curriculum has sometimes stayed in step with its peers and sometimes struck out on its own. Spoehr&#8217;s\u00a0talk will track the trajectory of this complex story of tradition and innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737\">This lecture is part of a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.brown.edu\/libnews\/lecture-series-elements-of-tradition-and-change-brown-universitys-first-250-years\/\">series at the John Hay Library<\/a>\u00a0celebrating the University\u2019s 250-year history.
