 . . . You see the sky, and how it drips with rain like old <\/strong>
\nrafters, and from its corners birds swoop out and dive, you <\/strong>
\nsee this land, the uniformity against cruel angry mountains, <\/strong>
\nI see it all; the glare of chrome and glaze of windows, <\/strong>
\nthe suspense and ambition of young boys playing baseball <\/strong>
\nin parks, and sidewalks splattered with the night\u2019s blood, <\/strong>
\nand the policeman sleeping with his wife and farting in <\/strong>
\nthe bathroom, and then after, so groomed and polished, <\/strong>
\npassing shops along the street, hello he says to one, <\/strong>
\nhello to another. I sleep in the grass thinking of this, <\/strong>
\nand can be arrested for sleeping on the grass, and I laugh <\/strong>
\nlooking at the sky, filling the sky with my laughter, <\/strong>
\nthe treetops bend and birds scatter out.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
