Read the full memory below:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I wrote a poem while I was in Freshman at Brown called &#8220;Rock&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p>Slowly into the room of empty space<br \/>\nSoftly I hear the place of the lonely souls<br \/>\nIt\u2019s solitude which I feel<br \/>\nIt\u2019s isolation that I sense<br \/>\nEveryone is squeezed in this space<br \/>\nSqueezed into their own innerspace<\/p>\n<p>The space where each of them belongs to<br \/>\nThe expanse where they have been longing for<br \/>\nIt\u2019s perhaps their spiritual home<br \/>\nA sector one can retreat to<br \/>\nNot to hide away from reality<br \/>\nOnly to get away from the hypocrisy of the world<br \/>\nThe illusions of the friendly spirits<br \/>\nThe malice behind all the smiling faces<br \/>\nReality is no longer real<br \/>\nIt\u2019s only a mirage,<br \/>\nA deception filled up with enmity<br \/>\nIt\u2019s a fallacy,<br \/>\nA delusion where everyone is lost in the name of materialism<br \/>\nThey don\u2019t seem to know<br \/>\nThey don\u2019t seem to think<br \/>\nThe meaning of life is only a simple thing<br \/>\nIs that one should love for himself,<br \/>\nNot for money, but quietly, forcefully and utterly.<\/p>\n<p>Providence, USA<br \/>\nOct 1993<\/p>\n<p>Another incident I would like to share is that I was studying\/reading lying on the comfortable couchchair on the basement of the Rock. It was so comfortable that I fell asleep and woke up at 3:30 a.m. (the door was locked at 2 a.m.).
