DeMontigny (1885-1957)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hand-decorated envelopes, circa 1939-1945<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Robert T. Galkin Collection<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During World War II, Clarence W. DeMontigny, an artist working in New Bedford, Massachusetts, drew patriotic images and political cartoons on a series of envelopes, creating original decorative covers.
