Shown below are front and back views of an <a href=\"https:\/\/repository.library.brown.edu\/studio\/item\/bdr:313069\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cabsolute money\u201d bill, c. 1880<\/a>, spoofing the period&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.britannica.com\/EBchecked\/topic\/245131\/Greenback-movement\" target=\"_blank\">Greenback movement<\/a>. (The majority of materials in the Sidney S.
