This past April, though, I encountered an entirely new kind: moon dust.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/library.brown.edu\/dps\/curio\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scott-70.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3810\" src=\"http:\/\/library.brown.edu\/dps\/curio\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scott-70.jpg\" alt=\"Scott-70\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had found myself in the extraordinarily lucky position of being asked to photograph the ceremony in which\u00a0<span style=\"color: #373737;\">retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and NASA Astronaut<\/span>\u00a0David Scott gave the flight data files from the Apollo 15 mission to\u00a0the Brown University Library. These flight records are the only complete collection\u00a0in the world\u00a0that has been to the surface of the moon, and it was a remarkable experience to learn about them, and to photograph the ceremony and a selection\u00a0of the objects.
