Alan Young '64, captain and All-Ivy in soccer and baseball, also led the basketball team in scoring.

  

Dave Farley, Class of 1964, won both the IC4A indoor and outdoor miles in 1963, and led the team a 7-1 record and a New England title.

Dom Starsia '74, All-American in 1973 and 1974, captain of North-South All-Star and New England All-Star teams, Brown lacrosse coach, 1982-1991.

  

Billy Almon '75 played for the San Diego Padres and returned to coach at Brown in 1992.

 The Athletic Hall of Fame began in 1971 with the induction of 97 athletes chosen from twelve varsity sports and 125 years of athletics at Brown. Twenty years later in 1991 the list had grown to include 381 individual athletes and two entire teams, the Iron Men of 1926 and the basketball team of 1938-39. The 1973 football team, John Anderson's first, signed the team photograph which was traditionally presented to Fred Broomhead '05, who hosted a seasonal dinner for Brown athletes at Carr's Restaurant.
