❤️ Happy Valentine's Day 2021 ❤️

While this Valentine's Day will be like no other, we can still uplift and appreciate each other.

The Library invites students, faculty, and staff to share notes of support and expressions of care.

Let's get social!

Post to social media with #LibraryLove and follow the Library on Instagram @brownuniversitylibrary and Twitter @brownlibrary to see what others have to say.

Feeling competitive? Rumor has it that other Ivy+ libraries are also using the #LibraryLove hashtag for Valentine's Day. Could Brown post more than the other libraries? We do have a lot of love. Challenge accepted!

Here are some optional prompts to get the love flowing:

Students

  • Any words of wisdom for first year students who are learning about their Library during this challenging time?
  • Do you have any kudos to share about a Library staff member who has been particularly helpful?
  • Can you recommend a library resource like a book, digital tool, study space, staff member, etc., to your peers?
  • Would you like to post a heart to a fellow student to tell them how fabulous they are?

Staff/Faculty

  • What are your hopes for students in Spring 2021?
  • How does it feel to have students back in Library study spaces?
  • What do you miss about meeting with students in person?
  • Are there any special collections materials that you can't wait to use during instruction?
  • What are you most looking forward to at the Library post-pandemic?
  • Any encouraging words for the first year students? Each other?

Do you have a message for Library staff/administration that is too big for a heart? Email welcometoyourlibrary@brown.edu or fill out this anonymous feedback form. We welcome your thoughts!

Please take good care of yourselves, be well, and know that your Brown University Library is here for you. You belong here.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Add your own heart!

See all the hearts.
