John Hay Library

Over the past year, the John Hay Library has undergone extensive renovations to the first floor, now providing enhanced research and study space in the restored main Reading Room, a separate fully-updated Special Collections Reading Room, an expanded Exhibition Gallery, a new Consultation Room, and a convenient Student Lounge.

The John Hay Library houses the University Library's collections of rare books and manuscripts, the University Archives, and many special collections on a wide variety of topics. Notable areas of strength include American literature and popular culture, political and diplomatic history, the history of science, and book arts and graphics.
