Poetry from the Age of Mass Incarceration

Kizer

from REHABILITATION

On the altar lies my plastic heart, on your
            dashboard my blessing;
For the right price they will bring a piece of
            me up from the cellar.
Symbol is more than tool. I used candles
            to study battle plans.
