Merrily E. Taylor Fund

Established in 2004 by the Friends of the Library to honor Merrily Taylor, who served as the Joukowsky Family University Librarian at Brown from 1982 to 2004. The fund supports the activities of the Friends of the Library, preserving Merrily's legacy of bringing together an energetic group of individuals who support the Library and enhance its ability to expand its collections and services.
The success and vitality of a library is dependent on many crucial variables, one of which is operations. In order to meet the aspirations of a world class research institution, the Brown University Library must support and develop its staff, facilities, infrastructure, and processes to ensure reliable, accessible, and transformative services, spaces, resources, expertise, and systems that can best enable scholarly success at the highest level. Endowment funds given in support of the Library's operations sustain these essential functions, allowing the Library to fulfill its mission to advance instruction, learning, and research at Brown in an environment of creativity and inclusivity.
