Established in 2008 by Alfredo C. Cassiet, M.D., to support the studies of the South American Spanish countries, limited to the post colonial period from 1830 to the present, with specific focus on the humanities and social sciences studies of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. To be administered by the University Librarian with preference given to printed material published in Spanish South American countries. Works pertaining to the aforementioned countries, published outside Spanish South America, will also be considered.
