Phebe Parker Fund

parker

Established in 1959 by bequest of Phebe Parker for the professional advancement of the Brown University Library staff. This fund has supported the travel of Librarians and Library staff as they pursue professional development opportunities offered by national and regional organizations.

The success and vitality of a library is dependent on many crucial variables, one of which is operations. In order to meet the aspirations of a world class research institution, the Brown University Library must support and develop its staff, facilities, infrastructure, and processes to ensure reliable, accessible, and transformative services, spaces, resources, expertise, and systems that can best enable scholarly success at the highest level. Endowment funds given in support of the Library's operations sustain these essential functions, allowing the Library to fulfill its mission to advance instruction, learning, and research at Brown in an environment of creativity and inclusivity.
