Richard and Edna Salomon Publications Fund

salomonre

Established in 1983 by Edna GP'90 '92 '94 '97 '97 '98 and Richard Salomon '32 LLD'72 GP'90 '92 '94 '97 '97 '98 for support of library publications.

Income from the Richard and Edna Salomon Publications Fund supports the publication of high-quality print materials that highlight the Brown Library's collections, events, exhibits, services, and facilities. Publications range from annual updates with both long and short form articles, collections brochures, exhibit programs and signage, and event-related promotional materials including posters, programs, and custom invitations.

The success and vitality of a library is dependent on many crucial variables, one of which is operations. In order to meet the aspirations of a world class research institution, the Brown University Library must support and develop its staff, facilities, infrastructure, and processes to ensure reliable, accessible, and transformative services, spaces, resources, expertise, and systems that can best enable scholarly success at the highest level. Endowment funds given in support of the Library's operations sustain these essential functions, allowing the Library to fulfill its mission to advance instruction, learning, and research at Brown in an environment of creativity and inclusivity.
