John Sharpe Chafee Memorial Fund
Established in 1986 by Patrick J. James '32 in memory of John Sharpe Chafee '18, and increased by the gifts of others, including his son, Senator John H. Chafee P'75 and the Mary Dexter Chafee Foundation, for the support of young faculty through acquisitions in the humanities.
