Harold L. Tinker Collection
3,000 volumes of 19th and 20th century American prose fiction, donated by Harold L. Tinker, Class of 1921.It included numerous first editions by Sinclair Lewis, J. P. Marquand, Kenneth Roberts, Booth Tarkington, Frank Norris, Thornton Wilder, and Thomas Wolfe. Also included are early editions of Lardner, London, Melville, Mencken, Steinbeck, Dreiser, Dos Passos, and Wharton. The collection is particularly rich in works by women authors including, among others, Mary H. Catherwood, Sarah Orne Jewett, Laura E.
