This database contains records for over 500 newspapers from across the country which have been collected as part of the Abraham Lincoln Collection at Brown University Library. These newspapers are primarily single issues devoted to reports of Lincoln's assassination or other events during his terms of office. Some later newspapers are anniversary or commemorative issues. All of these newspapers are non-circulating; most are not in the Library's online catalog, JOSIAH; and most are housed in off-site storage and may be retrieved with some advance notice.
