George’s interests are centered on the history of early modern science, alchemy, medicine, and 17th-century New England. His dissertation examines the household and alchemical as well as medical work of the famed colonial figure, Gershom Bulkeley. Originally from Indiana, he has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and also a master’s from the University of Chicago.
