Cailyn Hansen ’19

Student Developer

Cailyn Hansen ’19 is in her final year of study, pursuing degrees in computer science and ethnic studies. With an enthusiastic passion for digital humanities, she joined the Center of Digital Scholarship as Student Developer in February 2017. She was the lead technical implementer for the Database of Indigenous Slavery in the Americas (DISA) project headed by Prof. Linford Fisher in the Department of History. She also assisted in the maintenance of several other CDS projects. In the summer of 2017, she worked full-time between the DISA project in CDS and the Brown Digital Repository in Integrated Technology Services. In January 2018, Cailyn stopped regular work, assisting on projects on an ad hoc basis. Her skills include full-stack web development, system administration, and data modelling for unstructured and semi-structured humanities data.
