GIS, Spatial Analysis, & Mapping
About
“GIS” stands for geographic information system – a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial or geographic data. In practice, anytime we are looking at or searching a map that has information layered on it, we are interacting with a GIS.
GIS has widespread scholarly application, and we can match you with the right tools and enough information to get you started. We can also connect you to a variety of spatial data sets to populate your maps.
Supported applications
- ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, & ArcGIS StoryMaps
- QGIS & GRASS
- PostGIS and Spatialite
- OpenStreetMap
- Other open source & task specific tools
If you need help with these applications (or help with matching a tool to your needs) feel free to contact us.
