Digital Humanities Project Wins IMLS National Leadership Grant

TEI Archiving, Publishing, and Access Service (TAPAS), a digital humanities collaboration between the libraries of Brown University and Wheaton College, has been awarded a $250,000 National Leadership Grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS), to begin on December 1, 2011 and run for three years. TEI and SEASR – Semantically rich tools for text exploration

The Center for Digital Scholarship, with the support of the NEH Digital Humanities Start-Up Grant program, is developing a suite of tools for exploring TEI-encoded texts using the SEASR software framework. SEASR provides a flexible, online environment in which to create and share research tools. The TEI tools for SEASR will enable scholars to parse TEI and SEASR – Semantically rich tools for text exploration
