Teaching Shakespeare Workshop

Brown University, The English-Speaking Union and the Folger Shakespeare Library invite secondary teachers to a dynamic, up-on-your-feet workshop on teaching Shakespeare’s language, the First Folio, and how to engage all students in the Bard’s texts. Teaching Shakespeare Workshops, a partnership between the ESU and the Folger, give teachers nationwide the tools that they need to bring Shakespeare to life in their classrooms. These workshops are led by experts from the Folger National Teacher Corps and focus on the Folger Four (scholarship, performance, curriculum and assessment). In celebration of Shakespeare 400 in 2016, workshops held in this year will also focus on teaching the First Folio and other early printed texts.
