The Liman Collection of Board Games and Puzzles

A Survey of London, by a Party of Tarry-at-Home Travellers. A New Game to Amuse & Instruct a Company of Friends

1820, William Darton, London, England.

Many British games of this period mention the products of empire in everyday settings. A Survey of London, which functions as a tour of the city, includes the East India House (#7). This was the home of the British East India Trading Company, which held unofficial rule over India from the mid-18th century until 1857.
