1848, William Spooner, London, England.
Despite its moral message, The Cottage of Content achieves its aims through humor. Notice “Blanket Row,” in which a group playfully tosses a man in the air, or “Frog Island,” where dancing frogs wear formal dress. Players advance along curving roads and encounter rewards and forfeits along the way, including “Pay 2 for folly” or “Take 2 for being charitable.”
