1844, Edward Wallis, London, England.
A companion game to The Game of the Star-spangled Banner, this game explores the fauna and flora of South America. It is clear that for the British, the allure and mystery of the Americas came from the way in which they were perceived as wild and untamed. This game does contain some objective historical information: Space 62 features the Peruvian city of Lima, “not yet recovered from the dreadful earthquake which in 1746 destroyed 5,000 of its inhabitants.”
