Digital Technologies (DT) Developers work in 3-week sprints with a transition week between sprints. DT developers hold a short meeting each morning at 9:15 during the sprint. At that brief meeting developers report on progress and seek feedback on questions and stumbling blocks.
Sprint projects are described and assessed in one-pagers which are available for viewing by the Brown community. [See schedule at right; please note: you must be logged in with your Brown gmail account.] Sprint one-pagers (see sample) often describe short-term objectives for a larger project. Overall tracking of projects is done with Trello or other project management tools; code is deposited on github.
During the transition week DT managers plan for the next sprint based on our goals, ongoing enterprise projects, and recent sprint requests. We also hold Sprint Demo sessions during the transition week to informally present an overview or context for work done during the past sprint. Interested library staff are welcome to attend these sessions.
Developer Technical Meetings are held weekly on Friday afternoon for code review and feedback. Interested library technical staff are welcome to attend these meetings.
