
Allison Levy, Project Director, is Director of Brown University Digital Publications. In this role, she brings together key organizational, academic, and technological resources across the University to support new forms of faculty-driven scholarship. She spearheads efforts at the industry level to advance the conversation around the development, evaluation, and publication of born-digital scholarship in the humanities. Allison, who holds a Ph.D. in history of art from Bryn Mawr College, served as Project Director of the 2022 Born-Digital Scholarly Publishing institute.

Clare Jones, Assistant Editor for Brown University Digital Publications, supports the development of complex born-digital scholarship intended for publication with leading academic presses. She plays a key role in supporting humanities scholars in the creation of new scholarly forms that present research and advance arguments in ways not achievable in a conventional print format, whether through multimedia enhancements or interactive engagement with research materials. Clare holds an M.F.A in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and an M.Phil from Queens’ College, Cambridge.

Crystal Brusch, Digital Publications Designer at Brown, specializes in the novel integration of dynamic multimedia, data applications, and long-form narrative in support of scholarly ideas and arguments presented in innovative online scholarly publications. Other areas of expertise include accessibility, responsiveness, and preservation.
Holiday Shapiro, Digital Content Developer and Senior Library Technologist, oversees digital content for Brown University Digital Publications. She designs, builds, customizes, and maintains websites and digital projects across platforms and applications.
Zohar Frank, Graduate Student Proctor for the NEH Digital Publications Summer Institute, is a PhD candidate in Theater Arts and Performance Studies at Brown. Prior to pursuing graduate studies, she has been involved in dance making as a performer, choreographer, dramaturge, and educator. She writes on performance philosophy, dance, and performative bodies. Zohar holds an MA in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University and an AM in Theater Arts and Performance Studies from Brown University.
