RISD Graphic Design Professor Thomas Ockerse created this book of postage stamps with peculiar cancellation marks. Many of the stamps feature patriotic themes and notable Americans. For Ockerse, the cancellations extend the political messages of the stamps, such as this image of a John F. Kennedy stamp, where the cancellation forms a halo. (JOSIAH)
