Postage stamps mounted on collector?s album page
George S. Champlin Memorial Stamp Collection
Bhutan has unconventional postage stamps, such as these miniature phonograph records first issued in 1972. The Bhutanese government began producing stamps in 1962 to earn revenue in support of national infrastructure improvements. The unusual designs were intended to attract interest from the international market. The stamps feature recordings of Bhutan?s history, the national anthem, and two folk songs. Listen to the audio from these stamps through the Tours in the TAG.
