Effective August 17th, the University Library has assumed responsibility for housing and circulating the print and video collections of the Language Resource Center (LRC). The video collections have been moved to the Sciences Library; books and bound journals have been transferred to Rockefeller Library. Josiah records for these materials have been updated to reflect their new locations. Other instructional support materials held by the LRC such as iPods will remain at the CIT and will be handled as they have been to date.
The information desk at the Friedman Center on Level A of the SciLi now serves as the service point for LRC videos. Library staff will retrieve requested titles and bring them to users at the Friedman desk. Circulation policies have not changed. Viewing stations are located on the 14th floor of the SciLi.
We hope that combining all of the LRC circulating media resources with those of the Library will improve overall service to the campus. Please feel free to contact David Banush, Associate University Librarian for Access Services, for questions or comments.
