African Poetry Book Fund (APBF) Open House and Poetry Reading

The African Poetry Book Fund (APBF) is hosting an open house and poetry reading on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Racial Justice Resource Center on the second floor of the Rockefeller Library.

The drop-in and information session will feature poetry readings by Rachel (Afia) Ansong, Jolyn Phillips, and Henk Rossouw.

Free and open to the public. In person event. Light refreshments. Registration required.

African Poetry Book Fund

The APBF promotes and advances the development and publication of the poetic arts of Africa. One of APBF’s most exciting projects, the African Poetry Digital Portal (APDP), also supported by the Library’s Center of Digital Scholarship, provides access to biographical information, artifacts, news, video recordings, images, and documents related to African poetry from antiquity to the present.
