Sock and Buskin’s first performance

Founded in 1901 by Thomas Crosby (1894), the Sock and Buskin presented its first performance, “Our Boys,” on April 22, 1902 at the Providence Opera House. Brown wrestling history

96 years ago on March 12, 1912, the first intercollegiate wrestling match in the history of Brown University was held in Lyman Gymnasium (now Lyman Hall) between Brown and MIT. Guide to the Rudolph Fisher papers available online!

In celebration of African-American history month, the University Archives is pleased to announce that the guide to the Rudolph Fisher papers is available online at http://pike.services.brown.edu/bamco/bamco.php?eadid=ms-1u-f5. Rudolph Fisher is a 1919 graduate of Brown University where he majored in English and Biology.
