Literature Reviews and Evidence Synthesis Projects in Health and Biomedical Sciences

Health and Biomedical Library Services (HBLS) supports traditional literature reviews and evidence synthesis projects, including systematic and scoping reviews. Librarian support on evidence synthesis projects continues to be a highly utilized HBLS service with librarians working on over 40 reviews in 2023 and 2024. We are pleased to announce that the Brown University Library now offers access to the research database Scopus. Scopus provides access to over 90 million references to scholarly and trade journal articles, books and book chapters, conference abstracts, and patents. Hilary Kraus: Health Sciences Librarian for Clinical Support

The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Hilary Kraus as the inaugural Health Sciences Librarian for Clinical Support. In this new position, Hilary will be the primary liaison with responsibility for the clinical departments (including faculty and residents) of the Warren Alpert Medical School. Laura Haygood: Health Sciences Librarian for Public Health

Laura Haygood will join the Library as the new Health Sciences Librarian for Public Health. Laura will be a member of the Health and Biomedical Library Services (HBLS) team of librarians who provide curricular and research support to the School of Public Health, the Division of Biology and Medicine, and life/health science-adjacent research at Brown.
