The Rock Reference Room & Computer Cluster Closing for Renovation
The computer cluster and reference room on the first floor of the Rockefeller Library will be closing for renovation on Thusday, June 5, 2014. The area will be closed for the entire summer. The reference collection from this room has moved to Level 2 and is located on ranges 47-51.
Orwig Handicap Ramp Inaccessible August 13
Due to construction, the handicap ramp at Orwig Music Library will be inaccessible for one day on Tuesday, August 13. A construction foreman or facilities manager on site will alert library staff in the event that someone needing the handicap ramp cannot get into the building.
John Hay Library Opening Late August 16th
The John Hay Library will be open late on Thursday August 16th.The Hay will be open between noon and 5pm. If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail hay@brown.edu. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Rock Storage collections retrieval delays
From June 11 through June 22 there will be a delay in retrieval of items located in Rock storage collections, e.g. Theses and Cutter, as this area will be under construction. You may submit requests for this material; however, it will be up to 5 days before they will available for your retrieval.

A cleaner, less cluttered library home page will debut on September 1, 2011. The new design will gracefully adjust to tablet and smart phone dimensions and will feature new technology for searching all of the library’s resources from a single search box.
