Sock and Buskin’s first performance

Founded in 1901 by Thomas Crosby (1894), the Sock and Buskin presented its first performance, “Our Boys,” on April 22, 1902 at the Providence Opera House. The Brown University Archives contains a plethora of materials documenting Brown’s rich theatre history. Brown wrestling history

96 years ago on March 12, 1912, the first intercollegiate wrestling match in the history of Brown University was held in Lyman Gymnasium (now Lyman Hall) between Brown and MIT. Rudolph Fisher is a 1919 graduate of Brown University where he majored in English and Biology.
